Its Baltic out there
F*CKING HELL! Cant believe it…..
Well since being made redundant 2 years ago I have embarked on journey which has been extremely fulfilling.
I decided I wanted to paint, something I should have done years ago but hey ho.
The ride has had its landmarks such being accepted into galleries the Gabby Neac being so supporting and they made me artist of the month and this after my first year of doing this.
I sell my work Tynemouth Market and have met some great people both customers and stall holders. Not forgetting the support of my family and friends who have lifted me when I doubted myself.
Moving forward we are in crazy times but I want to share with you some news. In August I applied for an open exhibition to have my work displayed by the Baltic 39 in Newcastle. It’s a gallery associated with the Baltic Gateshead and is located on Highbridge Street.
You can’t believe my joy when I found out I had been selected. One of 150 local artists out of over 500 or so applications.
This joy has since been magnified as the venue has now changed and I will be exhibiting my work in the ground floor of the Baltic in Gateshead. The exhibition is from November 28th through to March 14th 2021.
So from nothing to the Baltic in two years totally humbled.
