The Tyne Believed by some, including me, to be the mother of all rivers. It’s been the lifeblood of this wonderful city. In the industrial revolution its was poisoned with pollution choking and killing anything that tried to survive in those waters. Thankfully we have realised the error of our ways and it can now support life like Salmon and sea trout the best in the country. It’s had songs written about it and is an easy choice for me to paint. The lights from the banks reflecting deeply into the depths. The bridges that span it are iconic. What's not to like and love.
